Profile for Miriam Loughry, PT, CFMT Miriam Loughry, PT, CFMT has been a practicing physical therapist in the Raleigh area since 1988. She has earned specialty certifications in neurological rehabilitation (NDT) and orthopedic functional manual therapy (CFMT). Her treatment approach has 2 main components:
1) Using manual techniques to address joint, soft tissue, and coordination problems to improve function and reduce pain and;
2) providing education to the patient about exercise, posture, and body mechanics to enhance the healing process and to prevent further injury.
Ms. Loughry has worked in a variety of settings including acure care hospital, skilled nursing facility, inpatient rehabilitation hospital, and outpatient rehavbilitation.
She is a member of APTA (orthopedic section) and NCPTA. She looks forward to the opportunity to provide you with excellent, compassionate care in a comfortable, healing environment.
